Zombie Hood Premiere & Reviews

Richard joined by Ed Nudd & Tom Murton

So on the 10th of January I got to reunite cast and crew along with selection of VIP guests to finally see the feature film Zombie Hood. You can checkout a selection of photos taken from the night of the cast and crew on the Zombie Hood Facebook page.

And the reviews come in...

"Overall Zombie Hood is a thoroughly enjoyable film, offering up shocks, gruesome deaths and the odd bit of humour, it does exactly what you would want from a horror film, with everybody, even kids, fair game you won’t know who is next to go, and, considering the low budget, filmed extremely professionally." - Nottingham Live

"Lightened by genuinely classic very funny lines and moments that got the whole audience bursting out laughing, Zombie Hood rampages through the city and pulls out every blood-stained stop to answer all your How To Survive A Local Zombie Apocalypse questions. Watch out Nottingham, it's a biter." - Nottingham Confidential

"Rather than being just a mindless gore-fest and little else, it is clear that Steve Best and his team have put a lot of work into their characters - with the fleeing survivors a carefully selected mix of people ranging in age from seven to 70. And as the film progresses, you really find yourself caring about the characters. There’s the elderly wheelchair-bound but spirited Bill, played brilliantly by Harry Keeling. Of the younger characters meanwhile Rik, played by Richard Lee O’Donnell, is a loveable buffoon... while Candi (Jade Blocksidge) is a great pin-up for the Twilight generation." - Richard Fisher

  • "Richard had the ability to understand his character from day one of filming and has made it his own. With some very strong performances, not only comical, but also emotionally, Richard has been one of the easiest and most talented actors I have had the pleasure of working with. Reliable, on and off set, I hope to be able to work with him again in the near future."

Steve Best, Director of Zombie Hood

  • "Richard was an absolute pleasure to work with on "Deception". Very professional, patient, considerate and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to others."

    Paul Moxon, Lightweaver Productions

  • "Rich seemed to understand his character almost immediately and evidently put a lot of hard work and effort into making him come to life in front of the camera, exceeding my expectations!"

    Jeff Wilkinson, J.Wilkinson Films

  • "Richard is a wonderful young up and coming actor who I have been coaching for over a year now. He is incredibly proactive, takes direction well and is a hard working individual who is reliable and a delight to work with."
