So I've just found out that Yellowstone, a short film I did way back when is being shown at Wasteland Film Festival in Southern California. An appropriate film festival for apocalyptic short films. I worked with Jeff Wilkinson on a short film called Waiting Room back in March 2011 and we filmed Yellowstone later in August. A nice early shoot aswell at around 4.00AM if I remember correctly. But well worth it, it's one of the best short films I've worked on alongside fellow veteran Coventry actor, Jim Low.
Jim was such a good actor to work with, friendly and knew straight away what his character was all about which made my job even easier. Jeff is a very gifted Director and Writer he knows exactly what he wants from each shot and prefers to shoot in sequence which again makes any actor's life easier when telling a story. I hope the film goes down a treat over in California. Wasteland Weekend looks like a great festival for all things apocalyptic you can see more on the website at www.wastelandweekend.com/wasteland-film-festival. Jeff tells me the Yellowstone will be available to view online as of the 29th Septemeber.
About the film
Yellowstone is about an encounter between two survivors set in an apocalyptic world 3 years after the Yellowstone volcano has erupted.
