So we have just finished principle photography for Cannibals & Carpet Fitters, a short film I wrote earlier in the year. I'm so very proud of the team for bringing my idea to life. Can't thank James Bushe (Director) enough for his hardwork and his vision for the film is better than I ever expected. I've never had so much fun bringing in a team and producing something of such high quality, a first for me writing, producing and still acting but it all came together and I think it's going to be a real treat for everyone to enjoy.
So I'm quite excited to get one of my own ideas off the ground, Cannibals and Carpet Fitters, the title says it all! I had the original idea a few years ago but didn't start putting it all together until late last year. I think the idea came from my love for british horror comedies, films like Shaun of the Dead, Dog Soldiers, Severance and the fact that I use to work for a carpet fitting firm when I was 17 was a big influence. I originally wrote the film as a full length feature script however to see if the concept works and to get some interest we want to create a short film version first, just to give audience's a taste of what a full length feature could be like. Lot's of gore, great characters and hopefully great entertainment.
I recently teamed up with the guys at "Call The Shotss" and Director Sam Purewal in Coventry to work on their latest short film, "End of The Road". Sam's previous film, "The Killing Game" won best short thriller at the Lime Light Awards 2012 and was also screened at the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival.
